Isfahan Railways Industries Complex

BTSCO for increasing efficiency of it’s fleet establishrd IRIC in 2009 next to the sistan railway station near the isfahan .

IRIC designed in  5 phases in 1,000,000 square meter area as followings :


1- shops for overhauling of freight wagons
2- station for loading and unloading of freight wagons

3- shops for overloading of locomotives
4- factories for fabricating of wagon parts

5- Railways road hybrid terminal


Construction of the first phase in 2011 was finished and started to work , in this phase 1000 pieces of freight wagons in 1 working shift (8 hours) could overhaul per year .

The first phase include 5 shelters in 5000 square meter area that equipped with overhead cranes with axillaries Such as air – electricity – water – gas and 1000 square meter area of official rooms and 5 km rails .


The 3 km railway of second phase in 2012 was constructed and other parts are in design operations .


Construction of the third phase in 2013 was started , this phase will be costructed by Alborz Niroo company and it could overhaul 60 locomotives per year .

The forth phase is in study case .

The fifth phase in cooperation with govermental administrations will reform to a dry port in Isfahan province , this phase is in study case
